Admissions & Fee Policy

Last updated: 3 February 2026

1. Introduction

Richmond Online School welcomes applications from students worldwide. This policy outlines our admissions process, fee structure, payment terms, and refund procedures. We are committed to making high-quality online education accessible and transparent.

2. Admissions Process

The admissions process at Richmond Online School consists of the following steps:

  • Enquiry: Submit an enquiry through our website or contact our admissions team directly.
  • Consultation: A member of our admissions team will arrange a consultation to discuss the student's needs, academic background, and course options.
  • Assessment: Where appropriate, students may be asked to complete a brief assessment to determine the best placement and subject choices.
  • Offer: Successful applicants receive a formal offer of a place, including details of fees and payment options.
  • Enrolment: Upon acceptance and payment, the student is enrolled and provided with access to the learning platform.

3. Entry Requirements

Richmond Online School does not have strict academic entry requirements for most courses. We assess each application on an individual basis, taking into account the student's prior learning, age, and suitability for the chosen programme. Students joining A-Level courses are typically expected to have completed IGCSE or equivalent qualifications.

4. Fee Structure

IGCSE tuition is £1,500 per subject (or £6,500 for a bundle of 5 subjects). A-Level tuition is £2,750 per subject (or £7,500 for a package of 3 subjects). A one-off registration fee and an annual platform fee also apply. Fees cover:

  • Access to live online lessons and recorded content.
  • Course materials and learning resources.
  • Personal tutor support and progress monitoring.
  • Access to the school's online learning platform and AI study tools.

Examination fees and exam centre charges are not included in tuition fees and are the responsibility of the student or parent/guardian.

5. Payment Terms

Fees may be paid in full or in instalments as agreed at the time of enrolment. Richmond Online School offers flexible payment plans to support families. Payment must be made by bank transfer or through our approved online payment system. Late payment may result in suspension of access to school services until the outstanding balance is settled.

6. Refund Policy

Refund requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis. If a student withdraws within 14 days of enrolment and before attending any live lessons, a full refund will be issued minus an administration fee. After this period, refunds will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, subject to the terms agreed at enrolment. No refund is available after the midpoint of the academic term.
